- Download and use Camp, our focus app for iPhone
- Visit our website at camp.lucive.co, or use its contact, report, privacy request, or waitlist forms

Summary of key points
This summary pulls out the key points of this notice. Each one is covered in more detail in the numbered sections below.
What personal information do we process? What Camp needs to run your account, keep your progress, and let you share it with friends you add: your phone number or Sign in with Apple details, your first name and @handle, your focus sessions and the progress built from them, and anything you write in the app. Learn more in section 1.
What stays on your phone? Your Screen Time data and the apps you block never leave your device. We cannot see them.
Do we process any sensitive personal information? No. We do not collect location, health, biometric, contacts, photos, or payment card data.
Do we collect any information from third parties? Only what you ask a sign-in or payment provider to give us: Apple, if you use Sign in with Apple, and Apple and RevenueCat, for your subscription status.
How do we process your information? To provide and secure Camp, show your progress to friends you choose, confirm your subscription, fix crashes, answer you, and comply with law. Learn more in section 2.
With which parties do we share personal information? Only with a small number of named service providers that run Camp on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising. Learn more in section 4.
How do we keep your information safe? Row-level security on every database table, encrypted connections, and encryption at rest by our providers. No system is perfectly secure. Learn more in section 10.
What are your rights? You can see, correct, copy, or delete your information, and you can delete your account from inside the app at any time. Learn more in section 12.
How do you exercise your rights? Use the privacy request form or email team@lucive.co. We will answer within 30 days.

1. What information do we collect?
Personal information you disclose to us
In Short: We collect the personal information you give us when you create a Camp account, use the app, or fill in a form on our website.
Account information. When you sign up for Camp, we collect:
- Phone number, if you sign up by text message. It is used to send you a one-time sign-in code. There is no password.
- Sign in with Apple details, if you use Sign in with Apple, as described in section 8.
- First name, which you type in during sign-up, and your @handle, the trail name you choose.
- An account ID we generate for you, and a friend code others can use to add you.
What you do at camp. As you use the app, we store:
- Focus sessions: when each one started and ended, how long it ran, whether it was finished, and which expedition day or schedule it belonged to.
- Progress built from those sessions: streaks, totals, embers earned and spent, items you own, achievements, and expedition progress.
- Schedules you create: their names, days, and times.
- Camp settings stored with your account, such as your chosen camper and campsite.
- Your subscription status, so we know whether Camp Premium is active.
What you write. We store:
- Journal entries you write.
- Session reflections: the optional notes you leave after a session, including how it went, your energy, what helped, and what pulled you away.
- Your onboarding answers, such as how long you want to disconnect, your daily goal, and the distractions you named.
Website forms. The contact, report, and privacy request forms collect your name, email address, and message. The waitlist form collects your email address only.
Sensitive information. We do not process sensitive personal information. Reflection ratings describe how a focus session went and are treated as notes you wrote, not as health information.
Payment data. We do not collect or store payment card details. Subscriptions are bought through Apple's App Store, and Apple processes the payment. See Apple's privacy policy.
Application permissions. Camp asks for Screen Time access, so it can block the apps you choose during a session, and for permission to send notifications. You can withdraw either at any time in your iPhone's Settings app. Camp does not ask for access to your location, contacts, photos, calendar, microphone, or camera.
All personal information you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you should update it if it changes.
Information that stays on your device
In Short: Some of what Camp uses never reaches us at all.
- Screen Time and app usage. The charts in the Stats tab are drawn by iOS on your phone. Camp cannot read the numbers behind them, and nothing about your app usage is sent to us.
- Your block lists. The apps and websites you choose to block are stored on your phone as tokens that only iOS can read. We never see which apps they are.
- Notifications. Reminders and nudges are scheduled on your phone. We do not run a push notification server.
- Preferences like sound, appearance, and accessibility settings, and an offline copy of your progress so Camp still works without a connection.
Information automatically collected
In Short: Limited technical information is collected automatically to keep the app and website working.
- Crash reports. When the app crashes or hits an error, a report is sent to Sentry so we can fix it. It contains technical details: the device model, iOS version, app version, and a stack trace. It does not carry your name or your account ID, and we strip anything that looks like a phone number or email address from it before it is sent. You can turn crash reporting off at any time in Settings > Privacy & data > Usage Analytics.
- Server logs. Our website host keeps standard request logs, which include your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested.
- Spam protection. Website form submissions are rate limited by IP address, and those counters expire on their own within minutes. hCaptcha also runs on these forms and collects information about your browser and device to tell people from bots.
We do not collect an advertising identifier, we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not use a third-party analytics tool.
2. How do we process your information?
In Short: We process your information to provide, secure, and improve Camp, communicate with you, and comply with law. We do not use it for advertising.
We process your personal information for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your account. To sign you in, keep your account secure, and keep it in working order.
- To provide the Services you use. To run sessions, schedules, expeditions, the campsite, embers, achievements, and the journal.
- To personalize your start. To suggest a starting expedition, session length, and schedule from your onboarding answers, and to word parts of the app for you.
- To power the social features you choose. To show your progress to the friends you add, as described in section 5.
- To manage your subscription. To confirm whether Camp Premium is active.
- To evaluate and improve the Services. To understand which features get used and where the app breaks. We do this from the progress data above and from crash reports, not from a third-party analytics tool.
- To respond to you. To answer messages, reports, and privacy requests sent through our website or by email.
- To keep the waitlist. To contact you about Camp's availability if you joined the waitlist.
- To protect the Services. To keep spam and abuse out of our website forms.
- To comply with our legal obligations. To respond to valid legal process and to exercise, establish, or defend our legal rights.
We do not build an advertising profile of you, and we do not use your information to train machine learning models.
3. What legal bases do we rely on to process your information?
In Short: We only process your personal information when we have a valid reason to do so under applicable law: to provide the Services you asked for, with your consent, to comply with law, or for our legitimate business interests such as security and fixing bugs.
If you are located in Canada, this section applies to you.
We may process your information if you have given us specific permission (express consent) to use your personal information for a specific purpose, or in situations where your permission can be inferred (implied consent). You can withdraw your consent at any time.
In some exceptional cases, we may be legally permitted under applicable law to process your information without your consent, including, for example:
- If collection is clearly in the interests of an individual and consent cannot be obtained in a timely way
- For investigations and fraud detection and prevention
- For business transactions, provided certain conditions are met
- If it is reasonable to expect that collection with consent would compromise the availability or the accuracy of the information, and the collection is reasonable for purposes related to investigating a breach of an agreement or a contravention of the laws of Canada or a province
- If disclosure is required to comply with a subpoena, warrant, court order, or rules of the court relating to the production of records
- If the information is publicly available and is specified by the regulations
4. When and with whom do we share your personal information?
In Short: We share information only with the service providers that run Camp on our behalf, and in the specific situations described below.
Service providers. We use a small number of companies to run Camp. Each one does a single job and processes information only on our behalf:
- Supabase, for our database and account sign-in.
- Twilio, to deliver sign-in codes by text message. Supabase passes your phone number to it.
- Apple, for Sign in with Apple, the App Store, and processing subscription payments.
- RevenueCat, to manage subscriptions. It receives your account ID, your purchase and subscription history, and basic device and app details.
- Sentry, for crash reports, as described in section 1.
- Vercel, to host this website.
- hCaptcha and Upstash, for spam protection and rate limiting on this website's forms.
Friends you add. Some of your Camp activity is visible to friends you accept, as described in section 5.
We may also share your personal information in the following situations:
- Legal requirements. We will disclose information to law enforcement or other authorities only when a valid legal process requires it.
- Business transfers. If Lucive LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of its business, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. It would remain covered by this notice until you are told otherwise.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising or for any other company's marketing.
5. What can your friends in Camp see?
In Short: Camp's social features are friends-only. Nothing you do in Camp is public.
There is no way to search for you. Someone can add you only with your friend code, and only if you accept.
Friends you have accepted can see your name and @handle, your focus totals, streak, and achievements, the cheers you send them, and where you rank on the friends leaderboard. While you are focusing, they can see that you are, what kind of session it is, and how long it has been running.
You can hide yourself from the leaderboard and stop showing when you are focusing in Settings > Social privacy. Your journal and reflections are never shown to anyone.
The leaderboard also shows camp-wide totals, such as how many campers were active this week. These are combined counts and do not identify anyone.
6. Do we use cookies and other tracking technologies?
In Short: The Camp app uses no cookies. Our website sets no cookies of its own; hCaptcha may set its own on pages with a form.
The Camp app uses no cookies, no advertising identifier, and no advertising or tracking software.
Our website uses no analytics, no advertising pixels, and no session recording, and sets no cookies of its own. On pages with a form, hCaptcha may set its own cookies to tell people from bots. Because nothing on our website is used for targeted advertising, there is no "sale" or "sharing" of personal information through tracking technologies for you to opt out of.
Specific information about the technologies used and how you can refuse cookies is set out in our Cookie Policy.
7. Do we offer artificial intelligence-based products?
In Short: No.
Camp does not currently include any features powered by artificial intelligence or machine learning, and we do not use your information to train machine learning models. If that changes, we will update this notice before any such feature ships.
8. How do we handle Sign in with Apple?
In Short: If you choose Sign in with Apple, we receive a limited set of information from Apple.
If you sign in with Apple, we receive an identifier from Apple, your name if you choose to share it, and an email address if Apple provides one. That email address may be a private relay address Apple creates for you, which forwards to your real address without revealing it.
We use this information only for the purposes described in this notice. We do not control, and are not responsible for, how Apple uses your personal information. We recommend reviewing Apple's privacy policy to understand how Apple collects, uses, and shares it.
9. How long do we keep your information?
In Short: We keep your information for as long as your account exists, unless a longer period is required by law.
- Your account and everything in it stays until you delete it. Deleting your account removes your profile, sessions, journal, reflections, schedules, progress, embers and the items you own, achievements, friendships, and cheers, then the sign-in account itself.
- Clearing data without deleting your account. In Settings > Privacy & data you can clear your focus history (sessions and reflections) or your journal.
- Crash reports are kept for a limited period, then removed by Sentry automatically.
- Subscription records held by Apple and RevenueCat are kept as long as they need them for billing, tax, and accounting.
- Website form submissions are kept while they are useful for answering you.
No purpose in this notice requires us to keep your account data longer than you have an account with us. Deleted data can remain in our providers' backups for a short time until those backups roll over; until then, it is isolated from any further processing.
10. How do we keep your information safe?
In Short: We protect your personal information through technical and organizational security measures.
- Every table in our database enforces row-level security, so each request is checked against your account at the data layer rather than trusted from the app.
- The parts of your data that friends can see are served through specific database functions that return only those fields, and only to accepted friends.
- Information travels over encrypted connections, and our providers encrypt it at rest.
Despite these safeguards, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and we cannot promise that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat our security. If we discover a breach affecting your information, we will tell you.
11. Do we collect information from minors?
In Short: Camp is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from or market to anyone under 18.
We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to anyone under 18 years of age, or the equivalent age specified by law in your jurisdiction. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18. If we learn that personal information from someone under 18 has been collected, we will deactivate the account and promptly delete that data. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us at team@lucive.co.
12. What are your privacy rights?
In Short: You can review, change, copy, or delete your information, and delete your account from inside the app at any time.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to (i) access and obtain a copy of your personal information, (ii) request correction or deletion, (iii) restrict the processing of your personal information, (iv) data portability, and (v) not be subject to automated decision-making. Camp does not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you by automated means. Rather than sort people by location, we offer the same process to everyone.
Account information. To review or change your information, or delete your account:
- Delete your account in the app. In Settings, tap Edit on your Trail Pass, then Delete account. This is immediate and cannot be undone.
- Clear specific data in Settings > Privacy & data.
- Control what friends see in Settings > Social privacy.
- Ask us to see, correct, copy, or delete something, using the privacy request form or by emailing team@lucive.co.
We will answer within 30 days. We will not charge you, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
Withdrawing your consent. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You can turn off crash reporting in Settings > Privacy & data, and withdraw Screen Time or notification permissions in your iPhone's Settings app. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that happened before you withdrew it.
Opting out of communications. If you joined the waitlist, you can unsubscribe using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us.
Cookies. For how to refuse or delete cookies, see our Cookie Policy.
13. Controls for Do-Not-Track features
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") setting. No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized, so we do not currently respond to them. California law requires us to tell you how we respond to DNT signals. We do not track you across sites in the first place. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow, we will describe that practice in a revised version of this notice.
14. Do United States residents have specific privacy rights?
In Short: If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have the right to access, correct, copy, or delete your personal information, and to learn how we have processed it. These rights may be limited in some circumstances by applicable law.

- Right to know whether or not we are processing your personal data

If we decline to take action on your request, you may appeal by replying to our answer or by emailing team@lucive.co. We will tell you in writing what action we took or did not take in response to the appeal, and why. If your appeal is denied, you may submit a complaint to your state attorney general.
California "Shine The Light" law
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request, once a year and free of charge, information about the categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
